"Then lets enjoy the rest of the festival before we go home." Aiden tugs on Jake's arm back toward the festival. Jake smirks a little, leaning close to steal a kiss before they go. "Then lets go. We have the rest of our lives together, afterall." Aiden grins. "Forever. I like that." #lyonslegacy

"You like that I'm a sap." Jake teases in return. "True. I am looking forward to going home though. I miss Chestnut Ridge." Aiden admits with a small sigh. Jake leans closer to Aiden, "I miss it too. We've got a lot to do though. Big plans." #lyonslegacy

Jake takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, "Yeah, back to our normal lives. It's a good life though. And I get to share it with my husband." Even though he melts a little, Aiden can't help but tease. "You're such a sap. But you're right. It's a good life." #lyonslegacy

The night wears on and Jake and Aiden move away from the crowds to watch the lanterns float down the canal. "This is it, huh? Back to our normal lives soon?" Aiden asks wistfully, leaning into Jake for the warmth, since the nights are cool in Mt. Komorebi. #lyonslegacy

"What do you think?" Aiden asks, showing the paper to Jake. Jake chuckles. "I think it's perfect. A wish for both of us, huh?" Aiden smirks and nods. "Yeah, I think it's a good one." #lyonslegacy

Aiden squirms, then spots something over Jake's shoulder. "Hey, there's one of those wishing trees." "Another one?" Jake asks, surprised. "Yeah. Lets go make a wish." Aiden insists. "Haven't we done that enough?" Jake asks, chuckling. Aiden rolls his eyes. "Then we'll do this one together."

"Ah, you're braver than you know." Jake reassures his husband, giving him a gentle squeeze. Aiden smiles and leans into the hug. "If I'm brave, it's only because of you." Jake shakes his head. "No, you were brave before then. You left home, remember? You were homeless. That's brave." #lyonslegacy

After their snacks, Aiden and Jake cozy up together by the fire and watch one of the performers. Jake tugs Aiden closer. "She's amazing. I wonder how much practice she had to have to not set herself on fire?" Aiden stares a little too. "I wouldn't be brave enough to try it." #lyonslegacy

"Matcha. It's really good." Jake decides after trying a bite of it, "Even if the color is a bit weird." "I might go back for some dango after this, they were really good last time!" Aiden decides, finishing his own treat first. Jake looks up, interested now. "Oh, get me one too." #lyonslegacy

They grab some Taiyaki to try before sitting down by the bonfire. "What kind did you get again?" Jake asks as he peers at Aiden's plate. "Bean." Aiden looks at it skeptically. "It's not bad, but.. what's yours?" #lyonslegacy

The boys went and rented Kimonos this time, rather than trusting some vending machine at the festival. It's another new experience for them and they plan to commemorate, but they want to experience the festival first! #lyonslegacy

The Festival of Light! The park in town is transformed with decorations, the canal full of floating lights, it really is a beautiful sight and will only be moreso when the sun goes down more. Aiden and Jake are more than happy their honeymoon happened to coincide with it. #lyonslegacy

"There's no way we could miss it." Jake reassures, equally as enthusiastic, remembering attending last time. "It really was beautiful last time." Aiden muses wistfully. Jake hums in agreement. "Yeah. How about we go and relax, read up on anything new?" Aiden nods. "Sounds good." #lyonslegacy

"But we'll be able to go to the Festival of the Lights still, right?" Aiden asks hopefully since he's been looking forward to it. Jake smiles affectionately at Aiden. "Of course. We have today, and tomorrow, and then the next day we go home." "Oh, good. I didn't want to miss it." #lyonslegacy

"Do you want to do that when we're finished here?" Aiden asks, wanting to make sure they both do everything they want while they're here. Jake considers and shakes his head. "I think I just want to go back to the rental. We have to go home soon." #lyonslegacy

A small snort/laugh comes from Aiden. "Agreed. I don't think I'm cut out for that." "Well if we ever come back, maybe we can just go on the hiking trails up here instead." Jake offers with his own soft laugh. #lyonslegacy

After a quick shower to get the worst of the sweat and yuckiness, they settle into the hot springs with grateful sighs. "Winter sports are not for the faint of heart." Jake decides as he leans back against the stone. #lyonslegacy

When they arrive, it's still early enough in the day that the hot springs are all but deserted, which is just fine by both Jake and Aiden. #lyonslegacy

Jake smirks, "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't remember anything but eager participation." Blushing, Aiden coughs lightly and then smiles. "Well, that was true.. But it wasn't exactly public last time." "Fair enough." Jake agrees, still smirking smugly. #lyonslegacy

"Well there's a climbing wall, or the public hot springs." Aiden suggests, looking around. Jake considers. "Well, there's a little hot springs at our rental, but lets go to the one up here, get out of this cold for a while." Aiden nods and smirks. "But no funny business this time." #lyonslegacy

After three or four times going down the slops, Aiden catches up to Jake. "I think I'm done." Aiden admits, already stiff and aching from his trips down. "Yeah, me too." Jake winces. "It was fun, but I think I bit off a bit more than I can chew with the intermediate." #lyonslegacy

No, the falls came at the bottom of the hill. Apparently maintaining balance going down the hills is infinitely easier than stopping at the bottom. #lyonslegacy

But their runs weren't entirely without mishaps. There were a few wobbles going down the slopes, thought thankfully there were no falls. #lyonslegacy

Aiden trusts Jake of course, but he still heads down the easy slope, while Jake tries the intermediate. it mostly goes ok for them... #lyonslegacy

On the ride to the top of the slops, Jake glances at Aiden, "Are you okay?" "I'm fine. I didn't do well at this last time." Aiden points out. He wants to be here, but is still nervous. "You're in better shape than you were then, though. If it goes bad, we can always go to the onsen." #lyonslegacy

As promised, Jake and Aiden travel up the mountain the next day to try their skills again on the mountain. #lyonslegacy

No. Not a single thing. Aiden is a good boy in his heart, he could never.

Sure! Most of the time Aiden sticks to trains though. Not sure he's ever taken a bus.

Aiden would rather have anything other than cereal. Cereal reminds him too much of his time as a child when he was left to fend for himself. But if he absolutely had to eat it? He'd probably choose something healthy, to be as far away from old memories as possible.

Aiden is, in that he exists in a few of my friends' stories and saves, and one time a Bachelor Challenge where he was a vampire. 🤭 But of course his true home will always be where he was born, in my story and save. 😍

Aiden probably would not. He's better than he used to be, but he's still clumsy and not athletic. I don't think he'd be coordinated enough for this. 😂

Probably no update this weekend. RL just delivered another gut-punch to my family. The last couple months ths have been really rough.

Hell, Aiden could just smile at Jake and have his attention. 😂

Probably looking to purchase some real estate. 🤭

Hoping to get back to my story this weekend. Had some RL stuff happen, then getting back to normal after that snd this week constant overcast/rain/allergies have zapped my energy. I really want to.get the honeymoon done, I have some Big Plans!!

Aiden broke his arm when he was about 10. His mom was out on a trip and had left him at home with the neighbor checking in on him. He tried to climb up on the counter to get into the top shelf of the cabinet and slipped, falling awkwardly. It was clean, and healed normally.
