After some fresh water to warm things up, Jake slides in with Aiden to hold him. J: Your dad.. he had a new family? A: Yeah. Less than ten years after he left us. J: How come you couldn't remember him? #lyonslegacy

A: I don't know. I just.. It was so much. All at once. Adalyn - my sister - she's 16. Not much tact. There's a slightly bitter laugh that comes from, Aiden that hurts something inside Jake. J: Got room in there for two? A: Yeah.. please? #lyonslegacy

A: The man in that photo.. that I can't remember.. he's my father. I.. I have a half sister. She's 16. She found me today. Jake freezes in shock. That is a lot of information, no wonder Aiden is so upset. J: Oh, sweetheart. Watcher, why didn't you call me? #lyonslegacy

Jake follows the call back to their bathroom, finding Aiden in the bath. Instantly he knows all is not well. J: Aiden? What's wrong? Jake's tone is much softer this time, worried, previous amorous thoughts forgotten. Aiden sniffles a little, making a pitiful sound. #lyonslegacy

When Jake gets home, he knows Aiden is already home from some papers sitting near the door, but the house is silent. He calls out for his wayward fiance, thinking about their conversation that morning... J: Aiden? A moment passes before there's a muffled answer. A: Here! #lyonslegacy

After the twins are down for their afternoon nap, Wyatt and Chase take a rare moment to themselves on their porch. The breeze rustles through the bushes and Wyatt sighs happily. C: Derrick called earlier, when I was in the greenhouse. W: Yeah? How is he? #calderhart

I decided to update my computer to Windows 11 today and that took longer than expected so unfortunately I wasn't able to post the update I had planned. Maybe tomorrow. Meanwhile, of all the changes to Win11, the emoji menu for Chrome had me going "WTF is this!?" 🤣

There are a lot of mysteries in Kyra's lift right now and this is just one more. But maybe if she can discover something about this family and this house, maybe even Moonwood Mill, then she can find out what's happening to her, too.

The woman was wearing the dress Kyra had just found in the attic, and she recognized the older man's shirt, it was mostly moth eaten and unusable. The younger man's shirts and jeans are what she must have found that fit her. They must have lived here.

There was a picture, partially burnt like it had been in a fire. A small family, wearing far outdated clothes. And posing in front of the fireplace of the house she was in. Who were the people though? Did it have anything to do with the odd happenings in the house?

Kyra got at least three outfits salvaged. Some were obviously men's clothes, what wasn't moth eaten at least. The dress isn't her style really but it's comfortable enough. Beggars can't be choosers afterall. What interests her more is the picture she found.

Apparently the house isn't done quite yet in helping her out. There's a few things that were left up in the attic and Kyra can see why. How did they even get the wardrobe up the ladder? Thoughts for another time. For now, she rifles through everything, salvaging anything she can.

Kyra made it home, finding what remained of her clothing and sighing. Where was she supposed to get new clothes? She decided to look in the one place she hadn't been yet. The attic. Maybe if she's lucky... The house has been fairly lucky so far..

With that, Rocco and Colby head out, leaving Thomas feeling slightly unsettled by the fact he was even found. But they did have a good idea, so he calls out. T: Jenny? I was wondering- He's cut off from a startled shout. J: Thomas!! Adalyn is gone!! #alphateam4

Rocco gets up, he's ready to go. T: That a threat? C: Nope. A promise. To give the kid some peace of mind. Your kid. Thomas sighs. He's getting it from all sides lately. T: Ok. I get it. I'll talk to Jenny. C: Good. Nice to meet you, finally. R: Nice place. T: Thanks... #alphateam4

T: Why don't we sit. This is your wheelhouse. Somewhat reluctantly, Colby and Rocco sit on the small couch and Colby responds to his check-in text he arranged for Derrick to send. R: So? T: Aiden's mother became involved with a vampire. I don't know details, but that's why he left. #alphateam4

There's a slight shift in the air and suddenly it's glaringly obvious why Alpha Team 4 was considered so dangerous. T: I wasn't messing with him. I tried to find him years ago. Took me a while to find him. R: Yeah, he left home kinda young. T: You know why? R: Nope, not my business. #alphateam4

C: Thing is. Your ancestor's didn't count on modern technology. We have contingencies. T: What does that mean? R: None of your business. Point is, we need to know if you're planning on continuing to mess with your boy. #alphateam4

T: I'm sorry Aiden was upset. It wasn't my intention. C: What exactly was your intention? T: To talk to my son. R: Why now? T: That's none of your business. C: Kinda is. Since your curse is what's hurtin' him. T: Why come here? You won't even remember this conversation. #alphateam4

The boys chat a bit for a minute and Thomas cautiously takes in the scene as he comes down the stairs. T: Good afternoon. What can I do for you? Colby has to admit, he's surprised. He's not sure what he was expecting, but it wasn't this unassuming man. C: Thomas Lyons? #alphateam4

J: Mm. I can't say I'm surprised. He's upstairs, I'll go get him for you. C: Thank you, ma'am. As Jenny heads upstairs, Colby and Rocco wipe their feet on the mat and look around. R: At least he's here. You got your phone? C: Ready to record. #alphateam4

When they knock, instead of someone coming to the door there's a "Come in!" from inside in a feminine voice. The inside is even more eclectic than the outside. The only person Colby sees is a young woman. Jenny Andrade, likely. C: Ma'am. We're here to see Thomas Lyons. #alphateam4

Rocco consults his phone and nods, showing Colby the GPS. R: Yep. According to the map, this is the address. C: Being a government agent pays well I guess. R: Maybe. But I don't think the house is his. His name's not on it, remember? C: Right. Well. Lets go knock. #alphateam4

On the other side of the world, in Nordhaven, Rocco and Colby have arrived at their destination. The house is a lot fancier than either man was expecting, which is evident when they both stare at it for a minute. C: You sure this is the right place, Rocco? #alphateam4

C: I'll have you know they're pretty well behaved. Just.. energetic. D: Uh-huh. I'll believe it when I see it. C: Well, I'll see what I can do. Give me a few hours, tops, I'll call you back. D: Thanks, Chase. Seriously. C: No problem, D. Talk to you soon. #calderhart #alphateam4
