Note to self. If you have an Azure policy that require a tag with a date. Terraform has a plantimestamp function. This will actually produce an output during plan stage, and allow #Azure to evaluate before deployment. regular timestamp function will not work

Simples solutions are often the best. Today I spent two hours reading up on how to investigate issues with metrics API in #Kubernetes After a while i just decided to restart the pods. All good now.

Can a faulty regex stop #Azure policy from evaluating. I have a parameter against #AKS which uses a regex. The evaluation has not run for two days. And i'm thinking i'm at fault. No error messages

A great enhancement to #Bicep in #Azure would be to execute an Azure Resource Graph query... No deployment scripts, just execute and use what ever with the result. Currently doing some work with workload identity for #Kubernetes where this would be handy.

Today I learned: If you have an app on #Kubernetes that do not run as root. And the app support file upload above 1Mb, its not enough to allow the container to write to an upload folder.

A great example of where AI will waste your time. There's no way to access a #K8S config map cross namespaces by specifying this as a field. A collogue thought this was the truth, asked me, and I thought it might be a new feature. So now we wasted two peoples time 😏
