Last night I saw Wilko: Love and Death and Rock ‘n’ Roll @lsqtheatre I never saw Dr. Feelgood, so it was a joy to witness Johnson Willis and Jon House recreate the band performing on stage. Plus, we had a fabulous bonus of Norman Watt-Roy and Wilko's son, Simon Johnson joining in at the end.

Escape-ism, featuring Ian Svenonius and Sandi Denton, tonight at Downstairs at The Dome, Tufnell Park. Ian is Mr Entertainment. A man who always has something to say and it's usually beautifully dry. A band to be treasured. I smiled throughout the whole set.

I wasn't sure if Beck @beck with the 80-piece BBC Concert Orchestra would work, but oh my, what a joyous thing it was. Last night at @royalalberthall.bsky.social produced a mesmerising performance by all. We were also treated to Scott Walker's It's Raining Today and Montague Terrace. Sheer bliss.

Glorious gig from Peter Perrett @thepeterperrett at Islington Assembly Hall. Peter and his band were in excellent form. Loads from the very strong new album 'The Cleansing', plus plenty of The Only Ones nuggets. To hear Another Girl, Another Planet live was an incredibly special moment.

I was scared out of my wits watching The Innocents (1961) @BFI last night. Incredible performances from Deborah Kerr, Pamela Franklin and Martin Stephens. Seeing it on the big screen elevated every slight noise and movemnent. One of the most spine-chilling films I've ever seen.

Tonight's feature - Wild at Heart (1990). David Lynch's follow up to Blue Velvet. So many wonderful characters, killer lines, warped cameos, incredible soundtrack and The Wizard of Oz references. 'If you are truly wild at heart, you will fight for your dreams.' #RIPDavidLynch

Tonight's feature - Blue Velvet (1986). I just had to revisit the wonderfully strange and mysterious world of David Lynch on this very sad day. One of the many glorious love letters that he gave us. Still astonishingly good and incredibly moving. #RIPDavidLynch Now it's dark.

Such awful news. David Lynch has died. Eraserhead The Elephant Man Blue Velvet Wild at Heart Lost Highway The Straight Story Mulholland Drive Each one an absolute masterpiece. RIP.

Tonight's feature - Trust (1990). Hal Hartley's direction is not for everyone. Incredibly sharp, direct script and simple but very effective camera work. I can't help getting drawn into his web. It blows me away every time. Adrienne Shelly & Martin Donovan are perfect for the job.

Terrific set from TV Smith at The 100 Club, Resolution Punk Festival last night. Such a passionate performer and great lyricist. He always gives his all. Loads of The Adverts gems fired out towards the end. Those songs still sounds incredibly exciting.

The Prodigy @the_prodigy last night at Brixton @O2AcademyBrix for the Disrupta tour. Some lovely surprises to the set (Light Up the Sky, Climbatize, Their Law, Diesel Power). Amazing punchy sound and visuals. Very enjoyable gig, but sadly missing the stage presence of Keith Flint.

Paul McCartney @PaulMcCartney was giving us a magnificent evening at @TheO2 with loads of Beatles & Wings gems (plus Get Back with Ronnie Wood), but he then goes and pulls out the ace card to top all ace cards...RINGO FLIPPIN' STARR @ringostarrmusic for Sgt Pepper and Helter Skelter!!! FAB indeed

The Damned @thedamned were superb last night at Camden Roundhouse. Everyone performed great. Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies, Paul Gray and Monty all delivered the goods. Very tight and well thought out set. My highlight was probably Stranger on the Town. Top night.

Lots of fun had tonight at Club Life, the Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly) immersive club/theatre experience. Tales from his youth of attending nightclubs and going on to running his own nights. Lovely crowd at the Omnibus Theatre who almost all got up to join Fred on the dancefloor.

Mesmerising perf from Bob Dylan at Albert Hall @royalalberthall.bsky.social on Tuesday. Nine gorgeous cuts from the wonderful Rough and Rowdy Ways. Band were amazing. The mobile phone ban also helped the dream-like atmosphere enormously. At the end of it I felt like I was in a trance. Incredible gig
