Started tearing into the front end of the kid's Corvette C3. We might have to remove the fenders to fix up the interfaces between the front clip and the birdcage. Plenty of surface rust in that thing.

Front bumper off the Corvette. That was a very unfun time. But it's off. It had been replaced previously and all the hardware was super rusty. I now have to try to separate the loose metal reinforcement plate behind the nose fiberglass, clean it, coat it, and glue it back in.

I'm going to convert my cheap uhh.... Tooliom DC stick/fluxcore welder to do MIG and TIG. First step is installing a euro connector and combining it with an old, spare MIG torch I've had lying around. Second step is jamming the regulator in the back and getting a new bottle of argon.

I so need to get the kid's car done. I need to fix the Baja, and install engines in the LeBaron and the Reatta

So the kid's 1980 Corvette's birdcage is now 100% welded. Tomorrow, the top gets sanded, new holes are drilled, the little window clip studs are going in, POR15 goes on it, and then everything from the core support forward comes out. I gotta re-bons the fiberglass to the steel in the nose.

I just dropped.... $795 on an old engine out of a 90s minivan, to resurrect the convertible that's been sitting in one of the repair bays. I gotta get that going to either sell, or for my kid's daily driver, or for summer driving. Idk. It's not a looker but it runs really nicely.
