TONIGHT, tomorrow, and Sunday we're showing Sho Miyake's TWO SEASONS, TWO STRANGERS at 7:30pm each night! With the gentle rhythms of a Hong Sangsoo film, TSTS won the Golden Leopard at Locarno last year and was featured in Lincoln Center's New Directors/New Films festival last month. It's a delight.

TONIGHT and THURSDAY (but not Wednesday) we're showing the newly-restored, underseen-in-the-first-place 2004 Japanese film THE TASTE OF TEA, from director Katsuhito Ishii, who was behind Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl and the animated sequence in Kill Bill: Volume 1. Showtime 7:30pm both nights.

TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY we're thrilled to give Sofia Coppola's newest, MARC BY SOFIA, its local premiere and exclusive run! From distributor A24, Marc by Sofia is a documentary (Sofia's first, at least at feature length) about the American designer Marc Jacobs. Showtime 7:30pm each night.

TONIGHT is the final program of our Wong Kar Wai retrospective. It's a double feature of sorts, starting with the extended version of The Hand (56 minutes) and then his sole English-language film My Blueberry Nights (95 minutes). One admission gets you into both. 6:45pm showtime, no trailers.

TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY we're showing the Russia-set 2025 Cannes competition entry TWO PROSECUTORS, from director Sergei Loznitsa! Showtime 7:30pm each night. Two Prosecutors is set in 1937, at the height of Stalin's reign of terror, and looks at the horrors of fascism.

TONIGHT is the second and final show of Wong Kar Wai's exquisite masterpiece IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, showing at 7:30pm! It's playing alongside the short "In the Mood for Love 2001," made by the same team, which short is not and has never been streamable nor available on physical media.

TONIGHT we're showing the 1986 Hong Kong rarity GOODBYE MY LOVE, co-scripted by a young Wong Kar Wai and co-starring Twin Peaks' Joan Chen! It's, uh, goofy in a way you're probably not envisioning. Showtime 7:30pm, no trailers. This one only has 55 ratings on IMDb and 15 on Letterboxd!

TONIGHT we're running Wong Kar Wai's 2004 film 2046 as part of the ongoing full wkw retrospective! Only the one show of this one; no second screening later like many of the others. Start time is an earlier-than-usual 7pm and it is running with no trailers, so expect 2046 on the screen promptly at 7.

TONIGHT is the final show of Wong Kar Wai's 1995 film FALLEN ANGELS, which runs at 7:30pm! With Leon Lai, Michelle Reis, Takeshi Kaneshiro (here playing Prisoner 223, where in Chungking Express he was Cop 223), and Charlie Yeung, and with a soundtrack featuring Laurie Anderson and Shirley Kwan.

TONIGHT is our one night only show of Croatia's submission to the Academy this year for best international film, FIUME O MORTE! ("Fiume or Death!"). It's a doc/narrative hybrid about Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio invading the fought over port city Fiume (now called Rijeka) in 1919. Showtime 7pm.

TONIGHT is the final Adjanuary show, 1981's QUARTET, which we rescheduled from 1/27 to tonight. Made/released the same year as Possession, Quartet is a Merchant Ivory film for which Adjani won Best Actress at Cannes and at the Césars jointly between those two (very different) movies. Showtime 7pm.
