Estamos en el año 1725. A manos del suizo Jacob Johann Scheuchzer ha llegado un fósil de una cantera de piedra caliza en Oeningen, Alemania. En la piedra se aprecia la impresión de un esqueleto. Una columna vertebral y un cráneo con dos grandes ojos.
