Republicans know their Big Ugly Law to kick people off their healthcare and give tax breaks to billionaires will cost them the House. That's why they're trying to rig our democracy by redrawing the congressional maps seven years early to fortify their narrow majority.

The Constitution makes clear the power to declare war rests with Congress, not the President. This week I discussed on @mprnews.org the bipartisan war powers resolution I signed onto to assert Congress' authority and prohibit United States military action in Iran without congressional approval.

Like many Americans, I am appalled by the manhandling of Senator Padilla for peacefully conducting legal oversight. This abuse of power by the Trump Administration must be condemned by Republicans and Democrats alike.
