Manorhamilton Senior Youth Theatre starts their Spring Term on Mon the 13th Jan. Co-directed by performer & storyteller Jay Ryan & playwright & theatre-maker @treasanealon.bsky.social, these weekly workshops are fun-filled & relaxed sessions that experiment with improvisation, script and character.

I was one of the fairies in 2017 and a woman I know literally stopped me & started to have a conversation with me as I was performing. 😂✨

3400 was in reference to the number of women who traveled from Ireland to the UK in 2015. 796 is in reference to the number of babies who were buried with a grave in the Tuam Mother & Baby Home.

3400 was a one woman about abortion created and written by @treasanealon.bsky.social and directed by Sonia Norris in 2017 and performed at the Scene + Heard Festival in Smock Alley Theatre. It was performed in various locations in Sligo and Leitrim.

In 2017 (for Culture Night) and in 2019 we did a performance of WB Yeats Stolen Child at Glencar Waterfall. The first two photos are from 2017 (taken by Róisín Loughrey) and the second from 2019 (taken by Boruch Len). Think chaos, bagpipes, song and magic! ✨

I was inspired to write this play after reading about the tragic story of the Parke siblings who lived in Parke Castle. The fab photos are promo shoots & pics taken during our daytime filming while the live performance was done at night. ‘‘Twas very atmospheric with bats flying about the spot! 🦇

In 2021 we produced The Last Night a site-specific performance about growing up, family and the stories we carry with us. Performed by Lisa Murphy, Laura Marie O'Connor and Stephen Burke. Directed by Sonia Norris. Written by @treasanealon.bsky.social Featuring music from Deirdre Armstrong of Kíla.
