Another Autumn pilgrimage to Spurn draws to a close. 120 species over the 4 days. Included 3 species of skua, pectoral sandpiper 5 different Yellow Browed warbler, Pallas warbler a Black-Faced bunting and a bonus American Golden Plover on the way home!! 🪶🪶🪶

It’s taken me a long time to get good views of Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in the UK. So super please with today’s visit to the New Forest. Also great views of Goshawk / Hawfinch / Firecrest /Dartford Warbler and finished off with a Wiltshire Stone Curlew. 🪶🪶.

Nice to do a cruise along the River Exe estuary. A great spot for our wintering birds. Nice views of Great Northern Diver, greenshank, Brent Geese 🪶🪶. And obliging Grey seal 🦭 popped up on a pontoon.

Impossible to go to Norfolk in the winter and not be enamoured by the spectacle of 1000’s of Pink-footed geese. This large flock was made or the more special as it contained a few white-fronts and at least one Tundra Bean Goose. Finished the two days on 105 species. Always a great trip. 🪶🪶🪶
