Whilst out on a stroll in Battle High Street, I spied this rather interesting box of Roman goodies in the window of the Doctors. These two are examples of a set from Pompeii ! Fabulous.

I was most surprised to see this cannon set into a wall in Seaford, it is located on Steyne Road, often referred to as the "Tudor Cannon," though it has been in situ for approximately 150 years. This historic, muzzle-loading cannon acts as a bollard or corner marker. Who knew !

#FontsonFriday We've been to St Anne's Church in Lewes, the font is described as : Early C12, tub-shaped, covered in a basket-weave pattern with a rope-moulding below and a band of pellets above.  It is similar to that at Denton but is more restored.  1/2
