I started playing Pokémon HeartGold, motivated by living dex building, but today I discovered Voltorb Flip — a sort of Sudoku (I think) where you flip squares with light math for the odds of winning/losing.

Today I saw a transphobic comment on Youtube and succesfully resisted the temptation to engage. :)

I had a dream where I was playing a video where Joker Persona5 gave Goku DragonBall a gun. Putting aside that Joker doesn't carry real firearms, dream me was getting pissed that it makes no sense for Goku to have a gun. I woke up. It was a dream, it's OK! Then I remembered that Fortnite exists.

OK I know the game is old, so it's probably an old observation, but: despite how it's trying to be a friendly and easy, Pokémon Let's Go is challenging, in bad ways. No EV so it's all about grinding for candy, from catching wild pokes motion controls that I, an able bodied adult, struggles with.

Playing Pokémon Legends Z-A and building a living alpha dex in it, has unfortunately made me want to re-build my living dex region by region. I've got a mostly complete one, but largely aquired via trading. Now I want to swap for pokes I catch myself. I hate myself.

Happy New Year! Livestreaming Ring Fit Adventure has always been about *making myself* do it, not about getting eyes on it. That's why I pretend I need to inform folks on bsky when I cancel. Finished Mega Man Battle Network 2 thinking it was a *bad* game, at some point making you go back and forth many times between remote locations. Finished it, moving on, it's OK, the next game will be better. MMBN 3 starts by making you go back and forth between locations.

Gogmazios' Event Quest (harder?) in Monster Hunter Wilds is lame. Like, each attacks take 75 to 100% of my health with my maxed out armor. + the terrain prevents dodging + explosions. + stop hunting you gotta egg carry in a tiny space. + fight a flying target with no ledge. Come on.

Doing some shader in Unity. Trying to get some lighting value. Old tutorial suggests using a global variable that's not in official manual, but does exist in code. Turns out it's unused and is just always 0. Trying to do math on a variable that is in the manual. Error saying "it doesn't exist". 💀
