Regretfully, we decided to cancel the Mirror Agent Kickstarter campaign this morning. Some may question why we canceled so quickly, but the campaign completely failed to connect with backers. We are collecting and reviewing data, and we will regroup, revise, and eventually relaunch.

We posted about this two weeks ago when it was announced, but we are still so excited that we wanted to post about it again. Winter Rabbit is an Origins Award finalist in the light strategy category. We are up against some pretty prestigious competition. So super proud to be nominated.

Just took that AI vs Human writing quiz we see posted all over the place. Only picked one AI, and it was a more modern author. I'm not sure if that makes me a better judge of writing, or if it points to modern writing just becoming more homogenius and thus naturally more like AI outputs.

PAX South 2015 is when Absurdist Productions started. David attended several panels on game design, and then, inspired by a dinner out with friends, designed Churrascaria. Since then, we've published 3 board games and 2 RPGs. It's been an amazing 11 years, and we look forward to many more.

Officially announcing the project we teased a couple of days ago. This one is still a good way out, but introducing 1000 Generations, a PBTA-based narrative RPG system designed by our own @willmthompson.bsky.social, that's steeped in Indigenous concepts.

We just got in Ahu Tiiko from @coyoteandcrow.bsky.social today. It's a gorgeous book. The use of uncoated paper actually leans into the spooky atmosphere of the setting while also making for a more environmentally sustainable product.

Ever since Solo September happened, our Solo RPGs have been selling really well. So well that we went ahead and did a massive reorder of both books. Usually our orders are smaller enough to just be a few boxes, this time they sent them on a pallet.

Home from PAX Unplugged, and Con crud is real. Was a great time, but now I feel like my head is in a vice and everything aches. I hope eveyone else who was at PAX feels well, and those who also got the crud recover quickly.
