I chased away the negativity someone caused by being rude with a dip in the choppy water today with smiling and supportive friends. Swim 15 was almost back in double figures for water temperature. #40daysofpositivity

A glorious walk in the sunshine, we didn't see anyone else for the whole 2hrs! A good chat with a friend and lots of laughing was very welcomed. #40daysofpositivity

Back in the water today, swim number 13 of the year. Water is warming up a bit at 8° but it was very drizzly and windy getting changed afterwards.

Look really closely, what do you see? I glanced out of my office window this afternoon and saw that during the day the magnolia tree had started to flower! When you take the time to really notice, there are beautiful things to be found. #40daysofpositivity

My views on the SEND reforms news today. This is my view as a parent of 2 children with SEND and as someone who cares deeply about the welfare of staff in the education system.

The White Paper announcements are going to bring a lot of news reports and a lot of social media noise. Staff will be concerned and their stresses will be compounded by rumours and commentary. They will need a calm and stable voice this week, of understanding their concerns and for you not to panic.

I'm 1/5 of the way through my target for the year. Very choppy water today, once I got my head round the horrible conditions it was actually a lot of fun bobbing up and down in the waves.

Ran out the house in a rush, forgot some of my stuff, including my big hat! Which I needed as although the water looks beautifully serene here, we turned around to get in and the weather turned. It went choppy and windy making the way splash in my face. The company was good though! Water 6°

Significant not due to the blue sky or the lack of rain. But because the sun is finally back at the stage where it is still high enough in the sky for a golden hour. I was watching TV and saw everything outside basked in an amazing golden hue. I ran outside for a photo Lighter days are on their way.

What are you all up to today? Anyone braving the elements and going outside or are you all hunkering down indoors? I've been reading all morning, got to venture out as I have a slot at the tip booked and to do some food shopping. But then back under the blanket for an afternoon of TV.
