Played around some more with the server sharding test (Used for game like planetside, star citizen etc) Have gotten multi server connections working, so left side of the beam is srvr A right side srvr B. When player crosses they get sent to server B, with 30-50ms migration time #gamedev #indiedev

Ai agent pathfinding target improvments, so it takes into consideration how far the target position is in terms of navmesh segments as well. as if the segment has a high depth, but a close position then it's a long route to it, for example around a wall or obstacle. #indiegame #indiedev #solodev #ai

Somehow it actually works to generate a polygon depth map for the navmesh, so I can punish my Ai for chosing points closeby, but far to walk So it wants to follow the red path, since the targetpos is close But the green route is much shorter, but further away position wise #ai #indiedev
