Some of the biggest and most successful battles of the last year have been fought in the courts. The @aclu.org has been leading the charge to protect constitutional rights through the judicial system and has quite a bit to show for its efforts. Consider supporting its fight for the rule of law.

On April 1, 1922, granite workers in Barre, Vt., walked off the job. Their strike came in response to a proposed 20-percent wage cut and their employers' anti-labor tactics. Instances of strikebreaking culminated in May when the manufacturers brought in more than 70 workers from other states.
