I was trying to knock out short games on my backlog, but then I settled for Umamusume the last several days while I wait for Wednesday before I participate in the Ni no Kuni event for the Backlog Haters Club. I got my first A-rank (Maruzensky) and I randomly pulled Cleric version of Grass Wonder!💜

Games released in 2025 that I've played, possibly ranked highest to lowest (and not counting Deltarune because I didn't want to grade each chapter while ignoring chapters 1 and 2). (non-spoiler: they'd be near the top of my list)

Shadow is easily the best character in Sonic Crossworlds. My partner drove off an edge as Shadow gained invincibility and he goes, "FAREWELL." She hits Charmy (she knocks Charmy to last) and Shadow goes, "Do better, Charmy." And of course, when she's doing Race Park Extreme Match Mode, she ---

Played through Fear the Spotlight and aced the stealth sections until the final boss, where things got a little...janky.😅 Unsure if the game is really easy, so I'm just going to pretend I was really good at playing it! Only a few more days until the Ni no Kuni adventure begins!💜

Beat Nubby's Number Factory on my first go yesterday, then kept playing it in Endless Mode until my brain melted around Stage 300. I think my brain finds it difficult to stop playing "Numbers Go Up" games that just drop ridiculous values.😅

Phantoms is underrated #HorrorSky

Well, did a couple more runs between last night and today and got to the "end" of the available game and crushed the final boss...only to be rewarded with stuff that would have made the fight not even be a struggle.😜 Two of the three mons on my team are from the first three monsters I recruited!💜

My Aethermancer thoughts after several hours of gameplay: -- It's a fun roguelike that takes the combat aspects of Monster Sanctuary and focuses on those in the usual "pick your path" scenarios with superbosses at the end of each area! -- It's also very limited because it's still in Early Access.

Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate is really fun when I'm not getting RNG'd out by bad fire arc luck. I beat Throne 3 difficulty, but I think I lost like fifteen times and about half of them were because I fired a shot that wrecked a piece on the edge of the arc and not my actual target!😅😭🪦💀

Played through Overboard! twice earlier. Apparently, I'm very good at covering up crimes and I'm not sure what that says about me!😅 It was a fun game but I feel like additional replays would only really matter to me if I was achievement hunting at this point!

I finally played through A Short Hike last night since I wasn't tired enough to crash for too long and...I really enjoyed it!💜 Also wishlisted some games on Steam from the Nintendo Direct today. I think if Z-A proves to have decent performance on Switch 1, I might just jump on it anyway.

Knocked out Phantasie I. I don't know if it's just something I never knew about or a feature in the GOG copy, but you can hold down the Enter key to speed up combat and yeah...that probably cut my playtime down by 50-75%!😜 Also, Fireflash IV is still the most broken spell in that game.

Started playing the first Phantasie via GOG and wow, the nostalgia trip is real!💜 ...and only one party member has died so far -- a wizard named "Wizard", who was promptly replaced by "Wizard2" because I'm really full of creativity today!😅

Confirmed that the white PS5 controller's charging port is why I was getting random disconnects while playing stuff on Steam. Got a new cable, plugged it into that one, it felt snug, but shaking the controller even slightly caused the controller info on game pages to vanish and then reappear.😮‍💨
