At a moment when we desperately need a fragile truce to hold, Trump’s ramblings on Gaza risk having the effect of a bull in a china shop. The UK needs to make clear that these proposals must be rejected, and that we support international law and a two state solution based on 1967 borders.

A book a day for a week #2 - The Oak Papers by James Canton We thought we knew about oak trees; the mythology, the dependency of hundreds of other life forms, how it is interwoven into our very national fabric. James IS an oak tree 🙂🌳

PSA: If you're chatting with an employee of a brick and mortar book store, PLEASE don't tell them you're going to buy the book they just spent 10 minutes helping you discover on Amazon. Yes, it may be cheaper, but you're basically using them as an Amazon showroom/extracting unpaid labor.

Discussing Bluesky migration in terms of liberal flight misses the simple fact that most people use social media for fun not influence and this platform, unlike X and cruddified Facebook, doesn’t feel like you’re wading through shit to reach your friends. It’s not that deep.
