Book Review: “This Is Not A Test” by Courtney Summers
Sometimes I get lucky and find the hidden ARCs at a book festival. That's exactly how I ended up with a copy of This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers. Her publicist left a copy of it for someone to find at YALLFest 2025 and I snagged it. Mwuahahaha. This Is Not A Test is a repackage of the book that was released more than a decade ago.

Event Review: Love Y’all Book Festival 2026
Romance readers flocked to Decatur, Georgia to spend Valentine's weekend with their favorite authors. Love Y'all Book Festival took over Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Decatur Downtown for two days of author signings, panels, shopping, and more. This is a challenging event to review because it truly felt like a tale of two events over the two days. Saturday didn't get started on the right foot.

Book Review: “Fearful” by Lauren Roberts
If you've been around, you know that I don't often post negative reviews. It has nothing to do with getting the book for free (thanks, Simon Teen for this one!), like some suggest about book reviewers who only share positive reviews. This is a place of hype, not negativity, but sometimes, I need to rant and maybe there's a point in there somewhere.

Book Review: “Hollywood Hookup” by Christy Swift
Last year, I picked up a debut novel called Celebrity Crush after Andrew Eiden (aka Teddy Hamilton) told me he had fun recording the audiobook for it. Book Review: “Made You Look” by Tanya Grant
Book mail is forever the best kind of mail, and I'm always grateful when a new book arrives. One that hit my mailbox, courtesy of Berkley, is Made You Look by Tanya Grant. It has snowy trees on the cover, so when the first snow of the year fell, I grabbed it and started reading. Made You Look is about a group of influencers who head off to a remote cabin in the woods to promote a new resort, along with a photographer, stylist, and the influencers' manager.

Book Review: “How To Kill A Guy in 10 Dates” by Shailee Thompson
I started 2026 out with a banger, y'all. The first book I finished this year is Shailee Thompson's debut, How To Kill A Guy in 10 Dates and it was the perfect choice I didn't know I needed. One of my favorite books of the year came from a debut YA author. One thing leads to another around here, and that's how this book ended up in my hands. An author friend wanted to introduce me to her author friend and thus, I ended up reading two Jennifer Iacopelli books in a short amount of time. Game, Set, Match was a new book to me, but not a new book in general. It's actually the first one Iacopelli wrote and published more than a decade ago, but due to publishing being publishing, it ended up not getting much attention at all.

How Does Finding Her Edge on Netflix Compare to the Book by Jennifer Iacopelli?
Netflix dropped a new sports romance tv show, just in time for the Olympics. Finding Her Edge is climbing the charts on Netflix, and with that comes the realization for many that the show is based on a book of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli. Whenever there's an adaptation of a book, the questions of which is better and how to the compare are quick to follow.

Why we should evaluate fiction and non-fiction details differently
Welcome to a session of Stephanie on her soapbox. I recently read Tony Danza's book I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had and loved it, but when I went to Goodreads, I found a whole lot of negativity. It baffled me because I found this book to be conversationally written (which makes for an easy reading experience), fast paced, detailed, informative, and genuine.

Book Review: Solo Leveling manwha series by Chugong and Dubu
If you would have told me at the beginning of 2025 that I'd be yapping about Solo Leveling for months, I wouldn't believe you. My journey to this manwha is kinda wild. I started the year with a goal to read a new-to-me manga series in its entirety, and started One Piece and Haikyuu!! thinking it would be one of them.

Book Review: “Crushmore” by Penn Badgley, Sophie Ansari, & Nava Kavelin
I may not be an OG Penn Badgley fan, but I am a fan of his now and that's what is important, right? I first found him while watching You on Netflix, so when I heard he was putting out a book, I was intrigued. Then, Gallery sent me a free copy and I had to dive in. Penn wrote…

Book Review: “Mate” by Ali Hazelwood
There are few times I've been livid at my phone for dying while I was reading a book, and even more rare for that to happen at one in the morning. Such was the case for Ali Hazelwood's first paranormal romance, Bride . Naturally, I was ecstatic to hear that she was publishing a sequel. I picked up Mate on audio through the PRH Audio program for booksellers because…

Book Review: “Secrets of the Blue Hand Girls” by Rowana Miller
As YallWest 2025 was getting started, I noticed a blue piece of paper on the ground that said something along the lines of 'open me' or 'read me'. I picked it up and it said to turn it in at the Sourcebooks booth for a free book. However, a publicist later let me know that the books didn't arrive for the event, but they'd send a copy of the book my way.

Book Review: “After Life” by Gayle Forman
I became familiar with Gayle Forman when her book, If I Stay became a movie a few years back. I enjoyed the movie, but never got around to reading the book. When I snagged an ARC of Gayle's latest book at an event, I decided this would be the one I started with reading. It just took me a year and I still did it by audio instead.

Book Review: “Death of a Pop Star: Vol 1” by Violet Karim
I'm a big K-Pop fan, so when Webtoon asked if I was interested in checking out a new graphic novel with idol vibes, I was intrigued. When it showed up with a photocard of the main character, I knew I was going to pick it up sooner than later. Death of a Pop Star: Volume 1 introduces us to a debut performer who is topping the charts.
