Am very happy to report that the “quick release” cat collars work! Just noticed Scout’s collar w/ tag is missing, will check the fences she’s scoots underneath later. Meanwhile, I’ve ordered two more collars/custom tags. Scout is outdoor/indoor and has free range.

Just received an earthquake alert, M7.0 in SE Alaska, no tsunami generated.

I have set up a monthly recurring donation to our local Hawaii Foodbank in memory of my parents. I know they would’ve done the same during these crazy times and I am grateful they are both not here to have to go thru it.

I was going to swim this morning, as usual for a Thursday, but after not seeing/hearing the Cat come in last night, she is now here sleeping on my bookcase, looking angelic. I am not swimming this morning.

Following the updating news regarding the shootings in DC and the two National Guard members, my heart goes out to them and I hope they recover fully. Not going to get political, just showing I care.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

This is fuckin' despicable.
