Look Is the statement Trump put out that names groups that are pro-transgender as terrorists that the government "will kill" awful and horrifying? Yes. But also they've said some variant of this shit at least once or twice a year for ages now. Please don't fall into a doom hole about this one.

It shouldn't be brushed off or considered something that doesn't matter, it does. But the current admin is flailing harder than ever, historically unpopular only getting moreso, and have long established going AND THESE DAMN TRANSES as a distraction tactic to increasingly diminishing returns.

I see trans folks panicking and doomspreading and making themselves and others suffer for it. Please don't. Be alert. Be aware. But also take the full context of...everythint into account and don't give into that panic instinct. Be here for trans folks, always. And that includes yourself.

Please trust me on this one, as a trans woman who has a clinical anxiety disorder and had to start medication like 2 weeks before the election in 2024. Anxiety is useful and powerful but also INCREDIBLY easy to let grow out of control and eat you alive.
