As AZ lawmakers look to address constituent concerns over data center growth in AZ, water usage is fading from the conversation. Rep. and Dem. lawmakers introduced 13 bills this session related to data centers, but bills aimed at curbing data center water usage have landed on the cutting room floor.

Phoenix AZ temperatures are expected to climb once again, with some forecasts calling for 100-degree weather next week. That's more than a month sooner than we're supposed to see triple-digit temperatures. 🧪🌎⚕️

Arizona 𝗔𝗚 Kris Mayes is appealing a decision by state utility regulators that blocked legal challenge of the energy supply agreement for a proposed data center. Mayes argues that the agreement allows 𝗧𝗘𝗣 and 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 to set electricity rate schedules out of public view. The 𝗔𝗖𝗖 approved

Tucson City Council is considering new ways to provide residents control over their electricity. Council members discussed four options, including purchasing power for residents, establishing city-run utilities for city buildings or new areas and potentially taking over 𝗧𝗘𝗣.

Heat is a serious problem in Arizona, its important to remember that going into Summer "the heat is here and my last 3 shifts I have had 9 patients with heat related illness, over half were hospitalized, most were on diuretics or drugs of abuse, most over 50 yrs old.
