Okay, I guess it's okay to say this much: Adelanto was supposed to close in late 2024. The ICE contract with GEO (the private prison company that operates it) was extended under Biden. The cycle of oppression and death did not begin with this administration.

The Kimmel Incident should be seen first and foremost not as a struggle over the first amendment but a battle over a subset of capital attempting a takeover of traditional broadcasting infrastructure. It has more to do with the Ellison/Weiss takeover of CBS than it does āfree speech.ā

An apartment next door to me is being sold; nobody is living there. The open house begins in 30 minutes, and all of their curtains are open. We just saw a naked man we have never seen (not the owner) walk out of the shower.

Given how popular football is in the U.S., it is astounding how few decent football movies there are, especially compared to baseball movies. The sport as a whole just doesn't seem to fit well into narrative film structure.

The reason the current freakout is so disproportionately loud is because they recently saw how happy people were just PRETENDING Trump had died, and realized how many people will feel joy when they're gone too. That kind of realization that will drive anyone crazy.

Wow it's so scary to think of what could happen next. Just imagine, Trump could use this as a pretext to send the military into DC or LA. He could start to deport people (even legal residents!) to torture sites in El Salvador. He could claim the right to bomb anyone he accuses of a crime.
