My latest #LEGO build, a Nintendo GameBoy. A fun little set with 400 or so pieces. I still have my original GameBoy and remember when I bought it: at JCPenney at the mall on a lunch break from work. I bought Pokémon Blue with it.

I watched the movie Weapons last night, spoilers below for those haven’t seen it. I think the ending where the children are chasing the witch through neighborhood houses and streets should’ve been accompanied by Yakety Sax, the theme from the Benny Hill Show. That’s all.

My latest read, James by Percival Everette. It’s a retelling of sorts of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn told from the perspective of Jim, an enslaved runaway. I did not want not put this book down. I could’ve easily read it in one sitting. My highest recommendation. (1)

I went to see Black Phone 2 this morning with my bestie. I had low expectations since horror movie sequels are usually dog shit, but this one was actually decent.

It’s smoothing day! For Lola and Matilda anyways. We don’t take all four dogs to the groomer at the same time anymore, it’s too chaotic driving them over there.

I totally forgot but Eleanor’s birthday was last Saturday. She’s three now. She’s definitely the sweetest of the whole pack, but also the “pick me” of the group. Ellie has to be involved and inserts herself in whatever you’re doing with any of the other dogs. 😍

I don’t typically read Fantasy books, not for any reason other than it’s just a genre I tend not to gravitate toward. I really enjoyed Magician: Apprentice though. An interesting tale with a large cast of likable characters. I look forward to continuing the 4 book series further in the future.

It’s was beautiful this morning with temperatures in the 50’s so I walked to the pharmacy about a mile away to pick up a prescription. Luckily it’s a walk that has sidewalks the entire way. I love being out and about this time of year. Also Halloween candy prices: WTF?!

Finished up another #LEGO set today, it’s the Sanctum Sanctorum from Dr Strange. I don’t usually buy Marvel sets but I think it goes well with the other street sets like the Bookstore, Jazz Club, etc. A really fun set to assemble inside and out!
