Old mailing lists and their archives were replaced by Discord,Discourse and SO. Some mailing lists received thousands of mails and they were answered. Interesting times. Now #Java #OCaml mailing lists don't exist. Surprisingly Open JDK lists exist. LLMs hasten the demise of community engagement.

I found two UG Biotechnology programs. The specializations are Genetic Engg. and Regenerative medicine. Willing to read any books or other curricula to understand. #Biotechnology

Does the recent recognition for Alphafold mean that #BioInformatics is a great career choice ? This is for a UG student. Is there curriculum guidance available somewhere ?

#Biology is combined with other subjects and I am hard put to explain how #BioChemistry, #BioPhysics etc. can lead to various career choices.Thought someone would have written about this already.Primarily interested in lab work(Protein design,Gene technology? )but research is an option.Any pointers?

I am assisting a 12th grader. It is a project paper titled "BioEngineering Bacteria and Synthetic Biology". Where can I find papers related to designer cells and cures ?(e.g) Engineered skin bacteria induce antitumor T cell responses against melanoma. I could't access the PDF of this.
