My dear friend Jazz passed away on Sunday from cancer. He's one of the kindest souls I have ever met & I'm so grateful to have had his friendship. Jazz was there for almost every stream we did. He always offered to join in on any game we played, every art collab I made or joined, and made art for almost every game jam game I developed. I'm grateful he chose to spend so much time with us, and I am going to miss him so much ❤️

I had only spoken with Jazz briefly back in 2023. But he was definitely very passionate about his art and it was always a joy to see his works pop up online. My sincerest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

I always saw Jazz around in my community and others, and really enjoyed his art. He always seemed like a nice, creative guy. I don't really have anything more insightful to say. This is just a colossal bummer. May he rest in peace.

I am Julian mom. Julian passed away on May 17 at 736 pm. Julian battled with cancer. He loved his online community. He loved his friends and family. Julian was always honest and pure of heart he never judge anyone. He lived authentically. He was an artist the day he was born.

Heartbreaking. Jazz is someone I've shared online spaces with since I was a teenager on forums in the 2000s. One of the first non-pixel art pieces I posted online was a pencil drawing of his OC. RIP to a very kind soul.

Absolutely horrible news. Jazz was an incredible artist and just a really wonderful guy. I knew he was sick and he wanted to share as much of his work as he could in case anything happened. Every community he was a part of is lesser now.

Jazz, friends, & I watched a weekly stream hosted by friends of ours for the past 11 yrs. In that span, Jazz got 14 takeovers where he got to pick the games played. I used to do some of the intros for those. His most recent was Nov & I made this intro to surprise him, as a celebration of him.

We have lost an incredible friend @jazzmanz.bsky.social, a kind and warm guy I've known for more than half my life now. I say "we" because he was loved by so many and beloved by any community lucky enough to know him.

I didn't really know Jazz personally, but I know how much he meant to everyone who loved him. As an artist, I super respected the amount of work he put into all his art challenges. His passing is devastating, but I'm so glad he was surrounded by loved ones. RIP Jazz.

Jazz was a wonderful friend, collaborator, & muse. He was a blast to riff jokes with. Endless discussions, back and forths via chatting, watching videos & streams, art replies, playing games together. A very talented person who was fun to work with together on several projects. I'll miss him.

Jazzman was such a staple in the communities I literally grew up in, a peer and friend. I... I don't know what to say, I wish I had reached him more.

Last July, he came forth in a shared community and revealed a very grim cancer diagnosis. Today, we received news of his passing. Communities he belonged to are heartbroken and stunned. I wish none of this had happened, and my heart goes out to his loved ones who knew him much longer than I have.
