Picked up Spirit City: Lofi Sessions earlier and could not be happier with the purchase. Done a bit of setting up and this honestly could be life changing. It feels like it was made for me. I have been struggling with focus and procrastination terribly lately. Will report back with results!

I finished the first half of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage today and I am so shocked at how invested I feel. I am usually more miss than hit with teenage girl characters and stores, but I can’t seem to get enough. I maybe wouldn’t like the characters personalities irl, but I’m so here for them.

While I’m working on my end of year content I need to give a huge shout out. Playing both A Space for the Unbound and Wanderstop early in the year helped so much with processing my grief. The help with my mindset lead to monumental changes in my life that I don’t even know were possible.

Finally got to spend a day working on my blog! Words are coming out and they are actually making sense 🥹 On one hand, I can’t wait to share. On the other, how the heck did I used to do this + stream + YT. It’s so bittersweet, I’m glad to have found a healthier balance but yet I miss it.

I only played 3 2025 games so far - Blue Prince Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 Wanderstop I’d rank them in that order, with the reminder that Wanderstop was great! Honourable mention goes to Ball x Pit which I have a lot of feelings about, but they are reserved until I am finished.

Well I have made the most of my Christmas r&r break so far by sinking 30 hours into Baldurs Gate 3 😅 I haven’t played such a dangerous time sink for such a long time. And every time I tick off 2 things done I find 4 more. And characters have finally started flirting with me!

Oh wow, I am looking at my '2024 Games I Must Play' list as I am working on my 2025 list and turns out I haven't managed to play a single one yet! Banishers is on my 2026 Backlog Resolutions list, it's the only one that came to PS Plus. What a list though... ctrlaltnoob.com/2025/01/03/1...

But in gaming news, Baldurs Gate 3. Man, people weren’t kidding, this is great. I can’t remember the last time I was this immersed in a single played game. Hours vanish so quickly and I never know what to expect next.

It is unprecedented how so extremely uninterested in Avengers Doomsdsy I am. I don’t know if this is a hot take or not but the multiverse just killed everything for me.

Another Steam Next Fest has rolled around during my content hiatus. I still have over 50 demos in my library before even looking at new ones 😅 The fomo is real, the sadness about hiatus is real, the feeling behind is real, but have to remember, it’s all for a good cause. We can’t do everything.

Persona 5 Tactica… Crow Country… I was just about to start Danganronpa 2 from my backlog but the list of titles that I want to play in the temporary catalogue just keeps growing and growing.

I just got my purple belt in BJJ. Yes I yelled no when I got called out. Yes I cried infront of my entire team. Yes I was in a state of actual bodily shock. No I did not manage to eat my cake. 10/10 would recommend. Who needs comfort zones anyway 😂

My top played games on Steam by playtime! Isaac is in the lead by almost 300 hours and I haven’t even started Repentance yet 😅 I also don’t ever trust playtime as I press play then wander away from my games regularly, but this feels accurate enough!

Downsizing and moving really is a many months long project ey 😅 Mega curveballs have caused delays, and hitting lots of mental brick walls lately. I wonder if I can find a way of gamifying the process that will help.

Building a mansion in Sons of the Forest. It feels ambitious yet achievable. Here is the project so far 😄 We finally found a location earlier in the week and laid some foundations. Then in session 2 it has started to look like a building! Might keep an update thread 👷🏻‍♀️

I’m in the penultimate chapter of The Cat Lady and despite it being depressing as all hell, I am enjoying it quite a bit. I’ve never really played anything like it! Looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.

Over 20 hours into playing Sons of the Forest (multiplayer) and man this is a good game. We are still constantly finding new things, meeting new enemy types, and the building is so satisfying. Horror moments that blend really well with the comedy of co-op play. Really good so far.

It’s been well over a year now and I still cannot stop thinking about 1000xResist. Every single angle of the narrative is compelling. I will never cease to be in awe of the confidence of the storytelling, the unapologetic messaging, the relevance to most everyone. It’s miracle of a video game.
