Now this is music. 1961 UK Riverside pressing of this. Love this record, but find it funny Coltrane’s name doesn’t make the front cover, but Monk throws him the first solo on the record.

In his new remix of Hallelujah by the Mondays, Daniel Avery seems to have added a synthed up version of the bass line from Sell Out by the Levellers, which is definitely not in the original…

Rough Trade have ‘Astounding Sounds…’ by Hawkwind as their #2 reissue of the year. Seems odd, what’s going on there? Great record, I love it, but like, it’s not exactly hard to find or anything?

#NovAudit Day 18 Joe Harvey-Whyte and Paul Cousins, ‘In A Fugue State’ (2025) LP released a few weeks ago on @nonemorerecords.bsky.social - pedal steel and some electric guitar fed into Cousins’ reel-to-reel tape loop set up, then morphed into dreamy soundscapes. Exceptionally beautiful.

Haven’t been able to play my records at home for some time due to doing up our place, but finally got to the stage I can put a basic set up together again. Better open with a good one.
