First for me today. Because I was alone, I was seated at the bar in a restaurant. It was 3:30. There was plenty of available tables. But I was alone (as I often am). I’m deaf and do not eat out in crowds. It’s too stressful. I enjoy a table, good food and relaxing atmosphere. Never again.

It’s time to take serious action at the State Capitol to address gun violence.

As long as guns are easily available to crazy people, mass killings directed at so-called soft targets will continue. This is a fact. Countries where it's more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns have less shootings. This is also a fact. Do with these facts as you will.

A week ago today I was entering the 3rd day of a 6 day emergency hospital stay- in pain and awaiting test results to determine course of action (2 surgeries). Today I’m enjoying being home on a Saturday morning watching monarchs on milkweed. Happy Catur(pillar)day, people! Stay healthy!

We heard about this yesterday in an EPA Region One meeting. EPA is only going to regulate 2 PFAS chemicals (out of over 14k) because "the science is not there" (BS) When you defund research, it will never be there Makes life so much easier for the businesses that contaminate our environment

Only people who have lived their whole lives in easy mode would choose for everyone to unnecessarily live life in maximum difficulty because they were bored or wanted more profit or whatever.

Update: They the IV to the left arm since I had a blood clot in the right. Day 4 hospital stay has begun. I don’t miss my gallbladder. Potentially 2 more operations to go. Side note 1: I found out where the young’uns got the idea that top sheets were superfluous. Side note 2: I want my top sheet.

Yesterday was the first time I fully understood the idea that, as we age, we become invisible. At first I was shocked and then hurt. Honestly, it just eased me one step closer to being ready for the end.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

Instead of CUTTING Social Security benefits, Congress should INCREASE payments by $200 per month and extend the solvency of the Social Security program by 75 YEARS. How? Make the wealthiest Americans pay a fairer share. I’ve got a bill to get it done.

It looks like we have the next Obama in the making! Listen to this nine-year-old speak in front of a packed New York town hall with the State Attorney General present, display more common sense and courage than many in U.S. Congress. The kids are alright, America, and they are who we fight for!
