I've been doing a lot of Minecraft modding lately. Create mod stuff. The server I've been playing on has been having some performance issues because there are *so many block entities*. So I'm now working on a project that adds a (mostly) entity free replacement for shafts / gearboxes.

I've found myself doing Minecraft modding of late. Create mod adjacent stuff. Recently I've been unsatisfied with Create's Stock Ticker when used for shops, so I've been working on a Cash Register block. It still needs proper textures, but I'm very happy with the model I came up with. Very antique.

As part of the new #StardewValley mod I've been working on, I've been writing compatibility patches for a bunch of other mods to be polite. (After all, the new mod breaks a lot of existing things.) Some of the code I've seen people write is absolutely wild. Such weird ways of doing things.

Been having fun with #StardewValley modding again. Working on a mod called Better Game Menu that should be out near the end of the month. It looks exactly like the normal game menu, but it performs way better. No stuttering when you pause the game anymore with a big mod set.

I'd like to thank TikTok for giving me a better reason to hate TikTok. Originally, I refused to use it because I absolutely detest vertical video and I feel like a lot of short form video content is just recycled from normal videos. Now, though, I can hate it for being stupid political garbage.

My PC has been broken for several days now because of motherboard issues (at least I hope it's only motherboard issues and not the CPU too). Holiday shipping is a curse. Owning a @steamdeck.com has saved my sanity at this point, between docking and the excellent desktop mode. Thank you, Valve.

I pushed a new update to my WTSync project today. WTSync is a #FinalFantasyXIV Dalamud plugin for doing Wondrous Tails together with your friends. It took a bunch of web dev work, but now you can use it to share your info with people who don't or can't use plugins thanks to its new website.

Recently in the #StardewValley Discord's mod dev channels, there have been several people asking for help implementing security measures. (Stardew's multiplayer is inherently insecure and always will be.) I just don't understand why people play Stardew of all games with people they can't trust.

I don't understand how people can play Black Mage in #FFXIV. It feels worse every expansion when I go back to it. It doesn't even have the "But it's the highest damage caster!" to fall back on anymore. It's just... frustrating to play. My most disliked Dawntrail BLM change is the nerf to MP regen.

Working on updating my #FFXIV Dalamud plugin for doing Wondrous Tails with friends. Why am I so amused by the invalid entry in the list? Can't wait to try out Unknown when I reach level 4 billion 294 million 967 thousand and 295... (It's just the maximum unsigned 32-bit integer. And yet, amusement)

Things I should be doing today: Working. Things I am doing today: Making the output from my custom dice rolling bot on Discord prettier. I'm using SVG to generate nice gradients for backgrounds. Some die, like a d6 or d2 (aka coins) have special images for each face. Others use fonts.

I want to post a dumb meme I made about the new alliance quests in #FFXIV but: 1. It's too obscure. 2. Bluesky doesn't let you spoiler tag an image yet (that I know of). It will have to languish in obscurity. (Honestly, how many people know the tungsten cube memes anyways? It's a very dumb meme)

I've released a storm of updates for my #StardewValley mod Better Crafting, and I'm super excited to see what content pack creators do with the new features... ... it's just that I have to *document* those features first. Poo. I also fixed a major bug though, so I'm really happy.

Work on porting my #StardewValley mods to 1.6 has begun. Better Crafting is hitting a usable point. Still a lot to clean up and test, as well as support for new 1.6 features. But it's here. And working. Almanac will hopefully be quick to follow, since someone is helping port that.

It'll be time to update my #StardewValley mods for the 1.6 update soon. Strictly speaking it was time to do that a couple months ago, but I've been busy and life has been life and... anyways. Soon. Almanac and Better Crafting deserve to live in 1.6.

I really need to sit down and get my Stardew Valley mods updated for 1.6, but every time I've gone to do it I just haven't been able to focus. That, or I've been interrupted. Or both.
