Also, if I've left your community discord, it's not you, it's discord. I've dropped about 50 discord servers in the last week to try and get under the not having nitro limit.

FFXIV has way too many RP hub discords, much less event discords. I have 30 more I need to remove before I can join new servers to check on weird things for event calendar updates. This leaves me with -just- the hub / open world discords.

In all seriousness, for the number of times I've been asked back channel, no, I will not be making an IRC FFXIV network. That way lies madness. Anyone suggesting we immediately jump ship and form all new communities right now probably doesn't have the community's best interest at heart.

Given the news about discord and the like, I'm seriously considering making an IRC bot analogue for the FFXIV RP Event Calendar Discord bot.

Watching my daughter and her friends explore FFXIV has been abjectly terrifying in some ways, but an absolute joy in many others.

While my plans for turning 50 did not involve being iced in, the interview last night was a good end cap to a decade well spent. Today enjoyed failing to catch big fish, gaming with family, and got my daughter playing FFXIV again earlier as a bonus. I need to keep this up another 50 years. Cheers.

Erah'sae is perpetually broke, going from courier gig to courier gig. He spends what he makes almost as soon as he gets it. Often on food, supplies, but sometimes on nice things for those he cares about. What he doesn't spend or use he often leaves behind for someone else who can.

It depends. If you're doing open roleplay a carrd / profile should be a taste. It should be the hooks one can find out about with casual effort. Enough to tell the styles and themes of stories you tell with the character. Leave the rest for discovery. If you're mostly writing prose, not so much.

Four hours later and the Startlight Market is starting to wind down a little, but still going fairly strong. Still several dozen people out here with their stories interacting. It has been a brilliant night. Thank you to everyone who decided to come out and have your stories interact with ours.

A few folks have opened up stalls with people hawking wares. Role-players are starting to slowly filter in. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you all out and about tonight.

Healer to White Mage 4?

I've been playing around with this off and on for a while now. A nifty little project from those that make the teamcraft tool so many of us have been using in FFXIV for so many years now. It's worth giving it a try if you like casual crafting and gathering.
