LOVE THIS! I live in Fremont, on Stone Way and it takes me: 1 hour, 2 buses and a 20 minute walk to get there and it's only 5 miles from my apartment! I usually have a picnic with me, so I end up taking the buses there, but then walk the 5 miles back home b/c walking is quicker...

As I put on my current pair of Keds this AM, I realized: 1) I've had this pair for 10+ yrs 2) I have worn them part of the day~60 days per summer: *fantastic* ROI 3) 4 years ago they developed a hole in the sole, & each yr since I said I would replace them 4) today I wore them to the store... 🙃

Unfortunately, I'm up against a filing deadline and have to work for a few hours today - so I had to cancel a 12 mile hike 😔 But I can still spend a bit of time this AM, having a cup of coffee, reading the news, & relaxing on the bed w/ the fur monsters. Just finished seeing The Wedding Present at Hidden Hall here in Seattle. They were great and put on a wonderful Friday afternoon show! I assume when a band plays at 5 PM on a beautiful sunny day it must be kind of tough to decide the play list. Today the band choose to "shred" and it was perfect!

I've read PhD Comics for years & really enjoyed it, but I only discovered he has a podcast a few months ago. Since then I've listened to a few episodes (& the one on procrastination 2X b/c it's an issue for me) & think it's great. I don't need more podcasts, so if I added it, it's worth it. ⚛️

Today I made hazelnut truffle sandwich cookies. This is the second time I've made them & I cut the recipe in half. They are pretty rich & there's almost no way to eat more than one - so this time I made a smaller batch so they won't get stale. Recipe w/ my notes attached. ##CookieParty #baking
