Last night, I went to see my friend's band: Death by Overkill, play a great show at #BabaYaga here in #Seattle They were one of 4 bands - all of whom were really good, and for a Thursday night - the crowd mostly stayed to the end and seemed to be having a fantastic time 🎶🎵

Last night, a friend and I went to see (e) XTC at The Triple Door here in #Seattle. It was a fun show, and while honestly, I'm not super familiar with their hit songs - the audience seemed over the moon. I also found it super charming that the audience was almost all 50+ males. Yep! 😎

Last night, a friend and I went to see "The Play That Goes Wrong" #SeattleRep theatre, and it was a riot. I *highly* recommend going to see this if you're looking for an immensely funny, and ridiculous farce. I've seen many funny plays, but rarely have I laughed for 2 hours straight 🎭 #Seattle

Last night, a friend and I went to see #SethMeyers do a stand-up show that was a fundraiser for the Woodland Park Zoo here in #Seattle It was a beautiful night for laughter, in an awesome place, that also benefited animals. A perfect summer evening!

I just noticed that I have some #mushrooms growing at the base of my coffee plant. I've had this plant for about 10 years, and this has never happened before... Does anyone know if it's safe to just let them grow and do their thing, or could these potentially be poisonous to cats? #catsofbluesky

I just dropped off my ballot for today's primary #election in #Seattle and I'm happy to say that the dropbox at Gas Works Park was hopping! There were 5 ppl putting their ballots in at the same time I was, & walking back to Stone Way, I saw approximately 20ish ppl w/ ballots in their hands. Yea! 🗳

Last night, I attended a fundraiser for #TilthAlliance at one of their working farms in #Seattle It was a wonderful evening being able to enjoy the great food from John Sundstrom of Lark while eating in a beautiful community garden and with gorgeous weather. Supporting local causes brings joy 🌾🌱

Last weekend I attended a "Supra" dinner here in #Seattle This is a shared meal, focused on meeting new people, community, and giving toasts - which focused on joys and silliness. I wasn't sure what to expect, and I went by myself - but all fears where swept aside as it was a lovely evening!

Does anyone know if there is a centralized org accepting donations for more rural public radio stations? I donate monthly to 2 stations in Seattle, and that won't stop, but I'm more concerned right now about smaller markets w/ less resources. Is any legit group putting together a coalition?

I love our Democracy Vouchers and always use them. There is no question that I'll vote in the primary, but now that I know they're on the ballot too - that's extra incentive...

On July 4th, 2024, my 6 months old kittens experienced their first fireworks, as we can see them from the apartment. They were fascinated! And the noise didn't faze them at all. Curious to see what tonight brings - but I'm kinda guessing it's going to be the same 😸🎆
