I have not seen the NOES remake with Jackie Earle Haley but I had a nightmare last night with his Freddy front and center. Not pleasant.

My current BOB’S BURGERS series run has uncovered an episode I’ve somehow never seen. (E14.12, “Jade in the Shade”)

WEREWOLVES does what it says on the tin. Frank Grillo scrapping and surviving through werewolf infested streets. Constantly pushing against its budget but in ways more charming than distracting. Great practical creature work. Enjoyable matinee schlock.

Caught up with THE BAD GUYS 2. Think it’s even better than the first. I love the action and the character work in these so much. The rare computer animation to truly capture the feeling and expressiveness of Chuck Jones style cartoons.

Oh, and Erika Ishii… they are incredible.

A good time. Second hour significantly stronger than the first. Too much wheel spinning and set up but once the heist proper kicks in so does that Black magic - it’s a blast. Stanfield as Grofield definitely the standout. Wahlberg for sure miscast (too smug) but it’s not ruinous.
