The only way to do a proper study is for the police to randomly stop motorists for testing, then you can estimate false +ves and -ves. Without doing this, the 'trial' is nonsense.

Not only will there be lots of false positives, but the 'trial' will be totally unable to estimate the false negative rate. This is a monumetal flaw in the study design. The data generated are pretty useless other than to say x% of people we stopped tested +ve. So what?
