Day 30: My Grade 5s learned about the harmful effects of homophobia today and what it means to be a LGBTQ+ ally, then they created pins after learning what my rainbow pin means and why I wear it everyday to school, some very creative pin designs! #EDUsky

Day 26: Wanted to spotlight a couple of poetry picture books that I recently purchased for my class! They are a big hit with my grade 4/5s! Poems about science, poems told in comic form and fairy tales told in verse then in reverse! #EDUsky

Day 21: My Grade 5s are learning about a Canadian First Nation of their choosing using Triple Threat Throwdown from #EMC2Learning students used sketchnotes, Story Dice and Lego to show their learning. Day 14: Getting all the students' 3D designed wrenches ready, I gamified this by using a vignette about coming across a tressure chest that needs to be opened, if students' wrenches can turn the bolt (all bolts are different sizes) they get the treasures inside! @meehanedu.bsky.social #EDUsky

Students had their first major Boss Battle, based on @mrmatera.bsky.social 3 level system, reviewing language arts vocabulary with @quizizz.bsky.social then needed to create the water cycle and a map with a legend out of lego, 2 levels down one more to go on Tuesday when the gym is free!

My grade 5s are investigating Nova Scotia artifacts as part of their social studies curriculum, all about hands on learning #EDUsky
