Republicans are taking to gerrymandering for the same reason they’ve done so for generations: they know they can’t win on their own right, so they’re manipulating the field to maintain power. They want to rig the game so we all suffer.

If we want to reduce crime, we should be investing in our communities, not investing in military occupations of major U.S. cities.

Donald Trump recently finally succeeded in killing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. PBS, NPR, local radio stations in rural towns – gone. Public media that millions rely on for unbiased news, education, and culture has been wiped out under the excuse of “eliminating wasteful spending.”

When we let our President get away with weaponizing U.S. military assets to suppress political dissent, we set the stage for much worse outcomes down the line.

Donald Trump is rolling troops into DC as a test run to see if his “tough on crime” justification holds and to see if deploying the U.S. military into American cities can quell popular protest movements. We’re watching a fascist experiment in action.

Over 22 million people – parents, children, veterans, and seniors –will lose or have their food assistance gutted under Trump’s Big Ugly Law. Hunger is a policy choice. And this choice punishes the most vulnerable to enrich the wealthy.

Donald Trump might be trying to steal our Democracy, but Americans across the country are waking up and doing everything they can to stop him. His fascist rhetoric and policies are destroying what makes our nation truly great. We have to do everything we can to stop him.

A war against the poor is a war against every single American.

Trump's FCC is cracking down on dissent because he has thin skin and cannot handle even the lightest criticism. It’s no surprise that he’s going after the media sources we rely on for news and entertainment: this has always been the Republican game.

Trump’s policies make a lot more sense when you consider that he’s not actually interested in making America great again, only generating more profits for himself and his cronies.

Elections in Virginia are the bellwether for the rest of the country. That’s why we’re doing real work on the ground across the state to ensure Democrats come out on top. We can’t afford to lose elections with Trump in the White House.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Donald Trump doesn’t want to release the Epstein list because he knows he is going to be on countless pages of it. His close ties to Epstein have never been a secret, and now he’s trying to avoid having the public know the full scope of that friendship.

The truth here is so ever relevant, is so simple and profound. I think I might pop it into my next book. Sharing yet again:

I don't understand why the administration keeps saying that other countries pay our tariffs. This is simply not true even in the most optimistic scenario (e.g., a US importer negotiates something with their foreign partner). If the policy is good, why lie about it?

ICE agents were recently caught urinating in plain sight, steps away from a school amid their ongoing immigration raids.  For a normal person, such an action could land them on a sex offender registry. For ICE, this is the status quo. Something has to change.

The effects of Trump’s Medicaid cuts are going to be felt by Americans nationwide, especially those of us in rural communities whose hospitals rely on the very funding being cut. This is the reality of Trump’s “fiscal responsibility” - worse healthcare coverage and outcomes for all of us.

So he's gutting the agency whose entire purpose is to protect consumers from waste, fraud and abuse… and topping that with charging them millions for his own over-priced security detail? This administration of grifters is out of control.

The union advantage is clear: higher earnings, better benefits, and a voice on the job. That’s why I support bringing as many union jobs as we can to our communities and supporting our existing workers when they decide to organize.

ICE officials have been wearing masks during their operations because they’re afraid of being held responsible for their actions. They know what they’re doing is wrong, but they do not care enough to stop - only hide from accountability.

When the government cuts Medicaid and SNAP, it’s waging a violent war against the poorest amongst us. We cannot let our most vulnerable suffer the effects of GOP policymaking.

The receipts are in, and they aren’t pretty. Trump’s actions are leading to direct harm against millions of Americans nationwide, all while increasing our national debt by leaps and bounds.  We’re working on the ground to stop them.

500 metric tons of life-saving food, enough to feed 1.5M kids for a week, is about to be incinerated because the Trump Admin let it sit and rot. While children starve, they are setting your tax dollars on fire.

Cutting Medicaid is more than just a policy or budget decision, it is an act of violence against the poorest Americans in the country.
