A calm, clear night with a very light breeze for @Amathusdbc #Dragonboat 🐲 training. The constellation of Orion was clearly visible in the night sky. One boat out working hard at long pieces. Went faster on the final piece, even with the addition of short rests.

Feeling sad that @cha0tic.bsky.social - my pal for the past 42 years - passed away last weekend. Shared student days & stage crew times together. He became a lampie working at gigs for many bands. Kept in touch & kept meeting up. January was the last time. Gonna miss yer ya idiot! 😥😭💔

One @Amathusdbc #Dragonboat 🐲 out training tonight. A little light drizzle now & again and a moderate breeze, but otherwise conditions OK. Almost continuous paddling - we covered 13.4K in total 💪🏻 - getting ready for a 7K distance race at Nottingham on Sunday.

Slightly warmer night 🌙 than we've had for a few weeks. Moderate breeze, which dropped by the end of the @Amathusdbc #Dragonboat 🐲 training session. One boat out, focusing on how we do an efficient stroke. Hard work, but I think we all made changes to make a difference. 🙂

A calm night with some light drizzle. We found a couple of mythical beasts guarding the entrance to the Albert Dock for the lunar new year. 🐲🐉 We battled past them in our @Amathusdbc Dragonboat and were going so fast that one lost his power of luminosity! 😁

We were treated to a tremendous Massive Wagons @massivewagons.bsky.social gig at Warrington Parr Hall last night. The entire "Full Nelson" album and other favourites Silliness at the end - their version of The Full Monty, then Mysterious Girl / No Woman No Cry 🌴🥥🍍 & Baz joining us in the crowd. 🤘🏻😜🤘🏻
