If we call art, no matter how gross, CSAM, then it removes power from actual survivor-victims. That is *our* term. That is what we went through. Uncomfortable art, no matter the intent is *not* the same. No one was traumatized to make that image. It’s like how “triggered” was taken away from PTSD.

i think that more people have to realise that there is no prize for being the most morally correct person ever you absolutely can think "bad" things and you can have weird fantasies and you can explore them in art I'd even say that exploring them in art is one of the healthiest things you can do

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.
