When I was 16 I read the Bible and Book of Mormon straight through & then did it again. I started identifying as agnostic instead of Mormon by the end of the second read-through, and an atheist within a few years of that after reading the Bhagavad Gita and several other holy books.

Day 21 for #FantasyIndiesJune - Fatherhood and what that means is one of the big recurring themes in my book. I actually started the story in my earliest drafts following Richard's son and their relationship. What is now my entire first book started as a series of flashback's into Richard's life.

Writing is not a commodity, it is a connection - a meeting of minds across time, distance, culture. The thoughtful reader is given the chance to step out of their own mind and into someone else's in a way that is simply not possible otherwise. That's valuable and worth defending!
