Editing goblin still seems to be absent. I'm actually workshopping some old pieces that have lingered for a while. Some of them might be going straight onto itch and some of them will be shopped arround; at least one of them MIGHT get converted into a visual novel. Productivity is happening.

Trying to be good and work through my backlog so I played Mouthwashing recently. Fantastic horror game, I see now why it got so much attention. Everything was so brilliantly done that I still feel horrible thinking about it yet I also want to experience it again. And Jimmy can go fuck himself.

Well I really enjoyed watching this, the setting was brilliant and there was a great atmosphere, plus all the filming underwater looks really impressive. The story felt a little bit lacking, especially in the backstory of the house, but I'd watch it again for the spectacle alone.

Finally getting around to watching another horror film I've wanted to see for a while. The last film I watched about a creepy house was horrifying so let's dive in to see how this one plays out (I'm stupidly excited already because it's underwater and I love underwater settings).

Dropped a tub while cleaning and now I have a pasta disaster 😭

Today is cursed. First demo I tried is unplayable because the camera kept sliding downward. Restarted 3 times and tried both controller and mouse controls but every time the same thing happened. Made me feel nauseous and made selecting anything a nightmare. Fingers crossed the next one is better.

Got a leak in my airing cupboard so having a plumber out today to see what the issue is. Trying and failing to do anything other than looking out the window to see if they've arrived yet, I am terrible at waiting.

Well the backlog is just sat there collecting digital dust, maybe this will be the kick I need to brush some of it off.

Just got around to trying the playtest for this game and it is CREEPY AS HELL! Really interesting mechanics and puzzles, a very tense atmosphere along with some genuinely uncomfortable scares that quickly triggered my paranoia. Very excited to see how it develops, I definitely recommend trying it.

I don't think it would. Yes I do share my writing but I don't do nearly enough marketing, this is still mostly a place for me to follow creators, chat to people and share the stuff I love. If I was suddenly set for life I'd probably write more so I'd post about it more but otherwise? No change.

Still not done but making progress, the final piece is definitely going to end up over 10k words which is my longest piece yet. Don't know if I'll get it out this weekend simply because I've got work and I'm going to be visiting family at the start of next week but I'll continue chipping away.

God I hate editing! It's all fun when it's just fleshing things out and adding flares to the descriptions, but then you've got to do the spelling and the grammar and making sure it actually sounds right to the human ear and gaslighting microsoft word into accepting your weird name choices.

Did it. First draft done. Took longer than expected, not because I didn't know how to progress the story but because I got so excited about this new character that my brain kept drifting to big loredumps about her. Time to sleep and recharge I think.
