The STEM Leading the Learning group were learning about physical and chemical reactions today. First we made salt crystal wands. Then we went outside and made exploding rockets. #antoSTEM

We were learning about different foods grown in Scotland. With a partner, we created a menu for a 3 course meal.

This morning we watched Super Quester live. We loved asking questions, listening to the story and solving the puzzles. #antonumeracy

We had an amazing first week at the STEM Leading the Learning group. We loved trying out the spheros using the iPads.

Using our class novel Charlotte’s Web, we worked with a partner to order Wilbur’s day.

This morning we worked with a partner to practise our spelling words.

Today we were learning how to say and write our name in French.

We have been learning about growth mindset and perseverance. We had a challenge to build the tallest tower using spaghetti and marshmallows. It was tricky but we didn’t give up.

Primary 4 have had an amazing first few weeks back at school!

We enjoyed our kids in charge day. We played games, had ice cream sundaes and watched Willy Wonka.

We were looking back at our amazing year in Primary 5 this morning. We wrote down our favourite memories and what we were proud of.

To celebrate the end of our Japan topic, we made noodles. We loved eating them after.

We were learning about the Children’s day festival in Japan. We made our own koinobori and enjoyed flying them outside.

We were helping to look after the flowers in the playground with the water left over from our maths today.

As part of our far east topic, we’re were learning about earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.

We did our maths in the sunshine today for outdoor classroom day. We were learning how to measure length, weight and volume. We were also able to calculate the perimeter of a shape.

Primary 5 did an amazing job sharing their learning about the Vikings at assembly this week.

We were learning about the Japanese language this week. We learned how to say some basic greetings and drew some Japanese symbols.

As part of our Far East topic, we were learning about the Japanese artist, Hokusai. We were able to recreate some of his artwork.

We enjoyed playing different games at our last rugby session this week.
