The mentality that "only player level or higher enemies matter" in #pathfinder2e isn't a byproduct of anything the system does. It is a direct byproduct of a player that isn't invested in roleplay. GM: "You are attacked by bandits on the road." That fight still matters.

Just did a notable combination in the #pathfinder2e thing. Mid Daring Stunt I provoked a reaction and used Scrambling Retreat. It was assumed neither of these stop my initial action, so mid stride I strode then resumed the Daring Stunt.

Yet another easy to miss thing about the Playtest Daredevil is unlike Sneak Attack your Stunt Damage is a separate instance of damage, not added to a strike. So if you have a general bonus to damage & do a Strike that Shoves & pop Stunt Damage, you get that damage bonus twice. #pathfinder2e

#pathfinder2e Daredevil feat idea I give Paizo permission to use: A single action Press feat that does a Strike with an unattended weapon in your melee reach using similar damage statistics to improvised weapons. This doesn't pick it up.

Another not readily obvious thing about #pathfinder2e Daredevil is related to the fact that the Stunt Damage is 1d6 + STR then goes up a d6 every 4 levels. That's the same as a Strike with a d6 weapon though there's a small gap where it doesn't before 5th level.

#pathfinder2e STR build playtest Daredevils might find a lot of traction with using a hatchet. The class likes both using agile weapons and having a free hand and Hatchet is on of the few 1 handers with both agile & sweep. A lot of your stuff uses Press after all so every bonus to MAP attacks is 👍

One tweak i would personally make with #pathfinder2e Daredevil is changing the ability to use creatures larger than you as props to instead allow creatures "at least your size" or make that a level 1 feat. Having it be creatures larger than you makes a lot of sense but does odd things.

A related #pathfinder2e Daredevil observation: Pressing Pummel (Vicious Swing but Press) is actually incredible value that might fly under the radar. As long as you move the 10ft required for Daring Stunt you Stride, do an Athletics attack, and then have press for Pressing Pummel...

Is #pathfinder2e Daredevil a -1 attack high utility martial like an investigator or inventor but in disguise? It's abilities are focused around Press with lower MAP, many of which will be agile if you go free hand. The most immediate way to go into Press is their initial action to run up and grab.
