#pathfinder2e / #starfinder2e have two similar cantrips Live Wire and Injury Echo. Both deal base 2d4 and then have a mechanic that can add 1d4 damage, and by either effect or being a save spell respectively they both deal half damage in the probability range the attack normally miss in.

Small #pathfinder2e Magus Tip: If your conflux spell involves making a Strike it can be handy to have something like Electric Arc as a side cantrip. Why? Well spellstriking that turn would be at MAP and you might just use a cantrip with it anyway. EArc is MAPless & hits harder than many cantrips.

One of the biggest things that holds back casters in #pathfinder2e other than White Room Theorycrafting usually omitting AoE situations and putting them in a scenario that is massively biased towards martials is people throwing away strikes entirely because they aren't martial caliber at face value.

One thing I really appreciate about the isekai where the guy reincarnates as a vending machine is that it doesn't ditch the premise too fast. He legit takes a while to have any mobility of his own and he has to figure out how to communicate. Some isekai have a gimmick and drop it soon after.

I and with @dantalksgames.bsky.social on this issue. Though my reason is maybe an extra one. While I think prepared casters could use some tweaks the "spells per day" and "We should be able to go all day" never accounts for the content of the day. It's inevitably arguing your characters are robots.

#pathfinder2e PSA: If you use the Critical Crafting rules that state that if you crit a Craft check the GM can opt to give the tiem a bonus effect the Inventor feat "Reverse Engineer" is phrased in such a way that the crafter chooses whether or not to get one, though the GM still decides what it is.

Legit think the litmus test for whether someone is good at Pathfinder 2e (or if they have a bad GM tbf) is if they think the Investigator is a good class or not.
