I think my biggest gripe (still) is how workshop creators keep using an old-ass taunt icon template that's HORRIBLY green from VTF compression, instead of Valve's Photoshop file from the 2023 repoleak. SOME do use it, but--they keep using the wrong colors?? Like holy hell, it's 3 colors dude.

the smissmas case uses the exact same color/texture from 2021, lmao (minus the ribbon)

I don't think adding weekly/daily map rotations would magically "fix" casual, especially if it's a map like Wutville or 2Fort. Sure, some people will flock to them, but others would purposely avoid playing TF2 until they got a map they favored.

The "HIT!" texture in TF2 is the only crit texture to be misaligned/have a "drop shadow," as the alpha layer is centered while the main layer is not.

Another thing I've noticed is Valve forgot to rasterize their art layers properly, resulting in some of them having a sharp mask applied. (Left Original, Right New)

#TeamFortress2 has around 400MB of dead weight files (*.sw.vtx) containing model data for software rendering. A feature so outdated, it was deprecated by the time TF2 came out. And if TF2 would drop DX8 support, we could delete *.dx80.vtx files too and double the storage gains.
