Well who knew that English was only established as a degree course at Oxford in 1894 and Cambridge in 1919! This book about books is a must read for anyone who loves the written word.

I have read less books than usual in 2024, it would appear running a busy book group is quite time consuming! Lots of talking about them but not so much reading of them!
