2 days before B-Line! The final build has been uploaded today, the game is basically done, until I learn that I left some obvious crashes and OOB that I never saw during development. But I did playtests, it should be fine. Really happy with the final game.

I recently discovered that Prove by ONE OK ROCK was used as Beyblade X's opening song. Cool. Then I discovered that for the french dub of Beyblade X, they also made a FRENCH VERSION OF PROVE, which is absolutely terrible.

Just saw Exit 8 (8çȘćșćŁ) by Genki Kawamura, from the game Exit 8 by KOTAKE CREATE. The movie had a pretty deep scenario (the game had none) and it was pretty good overall. Kinda scary too.

I implemented Reversed Depth in NutshellEngine today, I wanted to do it for months, it took me 5 minutes and it works flawlessly, there really is absolutely no reason to not implement it in a renderer.

I'm working on B-Line's optimization for the Steam Deck, and the ONLY thing I'm modifying to get to 60fps are the lights to remove as many shadowmaps as I can. I definitely hate shadowmaps. The hundreds of rigidbodies? Absolutely no issue. But if I dare to use FIFTEEN shadowmaps, it drops.

B-Line is now running on Steam Deck, had some issues as it was not recognized as a controller, turns out there were 2 issues: - When I updated GLFW, I pulled a commit that had issues with controllers on Linux - The gamepad mappings had not been updated for a long time, the Steam Deck was missing

Being independent from the framerate is NOT an easy task, it's not just "oh you just have to multiply everything by the delta time". The physics engine does not update each frame or it would be painfully slow, so we make it having a fixed number of updates per second.
