This week, the inaugural Methodology Seminars for Art History in Ukraine: Epistemologies, Agencies, and Margins took place in cooperation with the Bibliotheca Hertziana @bhmpi.bsky.social and with the generous support of the Getty Foundation.

🇺🇦This week we welcome 12 Ukrainian art historians for the Methodology Seminars for Art History in Ukraine: Epistemologies, Agencies, and Margins. During their stay they present their work-in-progress and take part in a series of intense workshops with renowned scholars. Buon lavoro!

Last week, the Research Centre Ukraine in Lviv had the honor to co-host the workshop “Overlooked: Revisiting the Histories of Ghettos in Occupied Territories of Contemporary Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, and Moldova”, co-organized with the Center for Urban History and the Warsaw Ghetto Museum.

Karl Schlögel, a distinguished historian of Eastern Europe and one of Germany’s leading voices on Ukraine, has been awarded the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade. We warmly congratulate Professor Schlögel and are honoured to have him on the Advisory Board of our MWF’s Research Centre Ukraine.
