Pharoah Sanders - Izipho Zam (My Gifts). Fifty minutes of typically mind-expanding spiritual jazz from Mr. Sanders and a large ensemble. Recorded in 1969, released in 1973. Another gem from the Strata-East archives. #Jazzsky

Charles Rouse - Two Is One. Another from the Strata-East batch. Terrific electric jazz from Monk's long-time tenor player. Three funky tracks followed by two longer, more experimental pieces. All excellent. Stanley Clarke and Airto amongst the players. #Jazzsky

A couple of nice charity shop finds in Blackheath today.

Postie's been with a new addition to the Blue Note CD collection. This was recorded at various sessions between 1963 and 1965. The lineups include Morgan, Byrd, Hubbard, Hancock, Hill, and Tyner (and that's just the trumpets and pianos). Looking forward to this #Jazzsky
