Can all my fellow scientists please review at least two times the number of papers you publish? It is so hard to get reviewers these days, and that really hurts young scientists especially!

What do you all think of somebody arguing back against Editorial decisions? And who do you see do it? (I've only ever had senior white men do that. Is it a pattern, or is that small sample size?)

40. The best idea in the world is worthless if people can't understand you. A mediocre idea* presented outstandingly will go over better than an outstanding idea presented mediocrely. (*grants, papers, seminars, talks, conversations etc etc)

Just spent 5 hours grading a short essay exam in Canvas. I apparently missed that even when the answer shows as graded in canvas the grade isn't saved unless you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click update.

The most iconic figure in the environmental sciences is the Keeling Curve, the CO₂ record from Mauna Loa, Hawaii. @noaa.gov had a wonderful site where you could visualize and download these data, and now it's just gone. These data belong to us and we should not let this happen!
