Just found out my debut novel Birth of Orisha, which I just sold is nominated for the Santa Fe Writers Project 2025 literary awards. It made the longlist out of 1700 entries. 🙂Not even published yet, already getting awards. 🥳 You can see the full nominees list at the link below…

I have a new story out, in the November issue of Lolwe. And it’s my first work there. It’s titled Oil and Water. Like the title indicates, it’s about the oil rich but impoverished Niger Delta region and its natural resource that’s inspired massacres, insurgencies and so much else.

Just got shortlisted for a thing. Signed a contract for another thing. Interesting start to the week.

Month and a half to the end of the year. Taking tally of my acceptances so far - 5 book deals, maybe 6 - 5 story acceptances - 4 times shortlisted for things - 1 waitlist - 1 award jury duty Not all I could accept of course. 😌
