“It’s a very, very long and complicated story, but it’s powered by a weapon called the Thunderseal, and it’s integrated into a massive mechanical rig. It functions as a heavy melee club, a high-powered railgun, and a hovering motorcycle." +

A small pause as she considered what to say next. “The prejudice against gears has died down a bit, and coexistence has been a concept toyed around with, but some still do not trust them. It’s a long, long story.”

Unika rips the weapon out of the ground, deciding it wouldn’t hurt to show off. She does a swinging motion backward, as the end of the blunt weapon opens up like the barrel to a gun, a black and red ball of energy emitting from it. “It’s also a railgun. A three in one, if you will.”

“Gears are an artificial race. They are magical creatures created with the intention to advance evolution, but were eventually produced as weapons of war, as I’ve come to learn. Apparently my parents are the human-gear couple to ever be wedded.”

“Hm- oh, thank you.” A moment of silence from the rookie as she attempted to think of a witty thing to say in response. “…it also works as a motorcycle.”

“My mother is one of, if not the most powerful gear, and my father is one of the leaders of the crusades. I inherited their power.”

“Just thought you looked cool, wanted to try and get to know you. I’m Unika, by the way.” The rookie fidgets with the bottom of her jacket as she leaned against her weapon, which was planted into the earth. “It’s nice to meet you.”

“Interesting…for me, it’s a mixture of my parents abilities and power. It’s an ability I’ve only recently learned I had.”

When I choose to see the good side of things, I'm not being naive. It is strategic and necessary. It's how I've learned to survive through everything.

“Oh. Thank you. I really like your whole attire and aesthetic, too. It’s-It’s really cool!” A smile formed on the rookie’s face at the compliment, returning with one of her own.

“A-ah. I’m…assuming that was sarcasm…” Unika exhaled. Yeah, probably wasn’t a good idea to start an interaction off like that.

Unika looks over at her from a distance. After a moment of silence from the rookie, she tries cracking a joke at the new face. “Uh…you-you look energized.”

“Oof. Mine doesn’t go that far, I’m just still trying to figure how to hold back properly, and it’s too powerful for me to handle at times.”

“It’s already powered by something. What that something is, I will not be disclosing for right now, just know that it functions as an excellent enhancement on its own.”

“My weapon of choice is part railgun, so that’s certainly going to be my answer.”

“Maybe sometime. I don’t like to use it that much.”

“Oh? That’s interesting, I can do something similar-ish.”

“Oh, it’s…a mix of both, really. Blunt weapon that functions as a railgun. And a motorcycle. A three in one package, basically.” Unika plants the thing into the ground. Not so much to show off strength but just so he could get a good look. “The end opens up and functions as the barrel, and it uses-

“Portable in the conventional sense, but I suppose it /is/ portable if you look at it from that angle. I meant as in easy to carry around. Well- it’s easy to carry for me- y-you know what I mean-“

“I’ve seen stranger. Someone very close to me uses yo-yos as their weapon of choice, and they’ve got some good mileage out of them. I also believe someone uses a living key as a weapon, too? It’s very interesting to see everyone’s fighting styles represented by their weapons.” Blink +

Unika smiled lightly at the compliment. "Thank you as well. It's something I brought with me from a ruined future. It works as a combination sword, rail gun, and motorcycle. Basically an oversized swiss-army knife." The rookie plants the thing in the ground, leaning on it.
