Mother in law gave us her old all in one stereo system. It’s from ‘86 and even though it’s been sitting for 20 years or so still worked on start up. No tinkering at all. Seabear album for the test run.

A while at the Phillips library I discovered Ida Pfeiffer, a female author and explorer from the early to mid 1800’s. Here’s her opening for her book on Iceland. And also the appendix with the salaries of Icelanders.

Commute to work this morning.

Only album I’ve ever played at full volume. I had neighbors that would play music until early morning mid-week. After many please stops, I finally placed my Klipsch system in my window, gave roommates and a neighbor earplugs and blasted this album at full volume at 6am. They finally stopped.

I’m generally socially anxious. So there’s this weird moment when you realize you’re somehow still connected to someone who has made their SM private. If you don’t know them just follow them, are you supposed to unfollow? Or just hang in? These are the stupid thoughts that keep me up at night.

So weird. Better half ordered a shirt and a progressive flag from Liverpool (the team). $15 dollar flag had an import tax/tariff of $33. Of course we declined it.

Absolutely gorgeous 30th anniversary, Cranberries “No need to argue.” Though my record has a few pops. Iain Cook does an amazing Zombie remix on the album. I first knew of him from the amazing band Aereogramme, then came The Unwinding hours (a nod to the Exorcist book) and currently in Chvrches.

When in Jersey.

When I left my hometown my friends would still hang with my parents and I’d get pics. Now apparently we’ve all been replaced by the neighborhood hens and ducks.

I think 80% of my love for this movie is the soundtrack. Goes from classic to covers, back to local. So call me happy as ever to find out it was released on limited gold vinyl. Such a great listen.

Pretty sure he was on AM when I was a kid. I listened whenever I could.

This started out as a 3 inch twig in the rose area of our house. We kind of baby’d it, and some creature ate its leaf off last fall. But we put a bucket on it to protect it during winter and now it’s more than doubled and bloomed. So proud of the little one.

Happy Friday. The good ole days when hangout guests were eager to pay for beer and not just take it. Of course DD’s got free money for the two soda options.

First time grilling a portobello Swiss burger. Might leave in marinade a touch longer but not bad. Have a cookout coming up and there will be a few vegetarians in the mix, didn’t want to leave them out. Tomorrow I’ll give a go at pulled “pork” with jackfruit.
